I'd like to get a reusable coffee cup that does a good job keeping the coffee hot and doesn't leak or spill. Any recommendations? And I'd like to buy it locally if possible to save on postage charges.

Nespresso have a travel mug (that's what your talking about I think?) which is like a piece of cast aluminium, it's maybe €20 so a bit pricey. But it is the greatest travel mug ever. You can get it in Brown Thomas in the Nespresso shop.

This thing keeps your coffee warm for ever. Easily stays warm all they way from Dublin to Cork.

Wow! That's amazing. I want a mug I can use in coffee shops instead of disposable cups that can't be recycled. Do you think it would fit under a coffee dispensing machine or is it taller?

Ahh not sure. If you mean in a decent coffee shop who make the coffee for you than probably not. It probably will fit under a machine that makes coffee in a petrol station.
I reckon it takes around 330ml so that might give you an idea of the size
