Early Morning Flight To Venice

Hi guys. I'm going to Venice in a few weeks, and my flight leaves at 7.20 am. I live in Kerry and considering whether to rent a hotel room near Dublin airport or to stay in the airport all night until check in time. Is it possible to catch some sleep in the airport or is it discouraged by staff there?
I really don't want to spend a 100 euros for a few hours sleep at a hotel, but will if I have to. Cheers.

You will be checked for your flight ticket. I was woken up at 2 a.m by the guards asking me to see my flight ticket last time I had an early morning flight....., so expect to be woken up, but they won't kick you out either. I went back to sleep, well more of a doze then sleep after that.

Thanks Arti. I'll do that. A little kip at airport and on the plane will be grand.

The Aircoach from Cork city runs throughout the night, Dublin Coach also runs a service from Killarney and Tralee but I wouldn't bother using it as it has reliability issues with the buses and staff and often the bus never appears. I'd say you'd be well pushed to find a hotel room for €100 to be honest.

To be honest I wouldn't sleep again at the airport although I had the comfy green bench at McDonalds upstairs. I find it not relaxing at all with light and noise level. I'd rather pay the extra for a room somewhere near the airport. You could try book a room via airbnb in Dublin. There are plenty of people renting out a spare room. If you are lucky you find somewhere for under €100 on airbnb.

If you don't want to get a hotel you could sleep in the car for a few hours, pillow and a blanket. It's more comfortable than the airport seats anyway.

Airbnb will get you a room near the airport for less than €50 for one night. Swords or Santry are close and on the bus routes so no need for a taxi either
