Struggling to set up a personal account online

    Hi There, 

    I'm trying to set-up a personal account online via the BOI website but no matter what I put in the mobile number section it gets flagged-up in red and says 'please enter your mobile number'. 

    FYI I'm in the UK, with a UK mobile number but I've read that non-residents can open an account online, and it asks where it is that I'm resident. 

    I've tried many different formats. 

    Does anyone know if I need an Irish mobile number, or have nay other ideas (other than calling them to set the account up)?

    Thanks for contacting us here on boards.

    We're sorry to hear this isn't working for you.

    Usually you would be required to add your International code in front of your mobile number. For example '00 44' and drop the first '0' from your mobile number.
    If this still doesn't work, you can call the account opening department on 00353 1 4044034 and an advisor will be happy to go through your application with you.
