Hi all, So been in queue a few times now, Each time i get through I always get ticket allocated in the corners, I want mid pitch tickets, Dont mind how high, but just want to get centered tickets.

Are these reserved for clubs or the likes of supervalue or what?

they will go to the competing counties.

As a season ticket holder this isn't always the case, usually screwed with shocking seats for the bigger games

SuperValu and Centra work off the same system as tickets.ie so no different.

Central tickets go to clubs, players, officials, sponsors and season ticket holders.

Some may go on general sale later on in week.

Be a disgrace to be fair if they sold central tickets to the general public before giving clubs etc the option to buy.

Same as that have queued a few times and it is all right in the corners the tickets are for. Last 2 matches got tickets through a friend in a club and they were lovely tickets. Though I could just go on myself online and get something half decent, but doesnt seem to be the case. Don't want to have to bother my friend again, and I'm not in a club myself unfortunately.

What are the chances of their being better tickets available lately in the week? I know I looked on last Thurs or Fri and there seemed to be more tickets available.

Is is the case that there will be a smaller crowd for this match as its a replay, or is that how it goes?

Replay on a Saturday should see up to 10k less I would guess. They only got 36k in 2014 in Limerick to be fair.

Hold out till end of week, would pick up something anyway come Saturday if needed then.

Better tickets do get released. For the Tipp v Galway game, they started selling upper tier cenral tickets as the week went on.

Cheers for the info, much appreciated.

Will wait till Wed or Thurs and keep an eye on whats on sale. If we have to go in the corner so be it, but would be nice to get something semi decent for the day.

I'd go to most games in Croke Park during the summer and i wait until the upper Hogan goes on sale before buying tickets. Generally get great seats by waiting for them to open it.

There was tickets in 703/707/708 on sale on tickets.ie early yesterday and more 703 were offered to season ticket holders for the bring a friend option. These are all good tickets while not being on the halfway line. 304/305/306/307 is used primarily for season ticket holders although some tickets for these sections MIGHT turn up later in these areas (rows A-C or some single tickets/pairs that weren't allocated). I assume the other Cuasck stand tickets go to clubs. The central hogan tickets will seat players families, county board officials etc and then go to clubs.

Have been in the uppers quite a few times before, and while the view is certainly very good, I find that you're very detached from the atmosphere. Wouldn't personally go up again unless I got stuck.

Also, I'm not too sure about this advice of waiting until later in the week. In my experience the best tickets are sold first, with perhaps some good, central, lower tier tickets being returned from clubs a few days before, but you need to get (very) lucky with timing to get those. The tickets that generally come out in the days before the game are the front-row tickets (rows A-C), which are among the worst in Croker imo.

Can't really speak for the upper tier much and when the best ones come out, as I try to avoid them as much as possible, but I completely understand how some people much prefer those seats. I've often heard keano2097 say how he thinks the middle of the upper Davin is by far the best location to view and analyse a game. Horses for courses and all that..

Was lucky enough to be in a corporate box middle of the Davin for the Donegal Kerry final. Brilliant view i thought especially if you are a neutral and want to get the bigger picture.

Premium level rather than upper level. The club had two premiums there that I was using for years, upper might be too high I don't know. Low down in the Davin is definitely terrible.

By the by, I think they're the best seats for watching the game analytically which is not necessarily the best place to get swept up in the occasion or whatever.
