Unfortunately I'd sometimes isn't as easy as that I knocked around in wicklow yesterday to some local farmers but unfortunately most of them already have people hunting on their land offered to let me do a day hunt but I'm looking for written permission which was not an option in that case :(

Well I don't necessarily need it in writing the land I have at the minute is verbal but I just bought a .243 and was looking to expand my options like deer stalking I do pest control for my local farmer fox crow ect but don't want to overhunt the land so was looking to get more on hand

So your look for deer permission not just permission to hunt and the only way to get that is to get out and ask farmers or do your h-cap a join a syndicate deer permission are hard got in slot of places

The deer hunting would be more along the nearer future all I'd be using the .243 for the moment would be for foxing or long range vermint as the .243 can take a lower grain round, but I mostly enjoy decoying pigeon, crow the deer stalking is a long way off for now tbh

But, generally, you'll need either a rifle range membership (centre fire) or a deer hunting license to get the .243, or, are you one of the lucky ones?...

As said 243 will now require a deer licence or range membership unless you have s very understanding super

The license was sent off a month ago so I'm still waiting on the result and my firearms officer said their shouldn't be a problem with the application hopefully all is okay

Well fingers crossed for you, but unfortunately not all guards are up to speed on the ins and outs of gun licensing.....
....I managed to get one without the deer license, but nowadays with a different guard processing the paper work I have a job just getting him to go ahead with renewals let alone new applications.
