A-Z maps, or alt for Wales

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, just wondering how detailed the A-Z maps are, am off on a short touring break in a few weeks and would prefer to use maps, I find that I follow the sat nav blindly but don't want to be using a map where I'll struggle to see minor roads.

Am planning on buying the A-Z but does anyone know a free alternative for Wales.

A-Z are very popular in UK. Great maps.

I don't really understand your aversion to sat nav, just download free one for your phone. Some don't even need data/internet connection.

Google maps on your phone is your friend, very difficult to get lost using that. If your worried about roaming costs then download an offline version prior to leaving.
