What's the procedure with importing and getting the vrt paid on a privately purchased vehicle from Northern Ireland or the UK?
I've bought from dealers a few times, vans, car and tractor and as such had receipts and ferry slips.
With the new vrt system we need to provide proof of date of entry into the state and proof of cost.
How you all getting around this?
Thanks for reading and any help given.

Ps. It's a crew cab of that makes any difference to the equation. 13.5% of the omsp I believe.

Ask seller to issue you with a receipt of sale.
    Can be handwritten .

Thanks Cinio, didn't know they'd accept a handwritten receipt.

there's a mega thread elsewhere but basically make sure you get the full V5C registration document along with the invoice.
