    Hi folk's,

Do you absolutely need a passport for travel from Ireland to UK on Ryanair?

I've an elderly relative who may need to travel soon and passport has expired. They have application in for new one but may not be ready in time.

Aer lingus will allow travel with a social welfare photo ID?

Also. She sent the passport application in the post today. Is there anyway I could go to passport office in Dublin Monday to speed up the process?

    Thanks,
    Mick
