Hi all - I have a Nissan Micra and just got a full service - cost was €550. I thought that's a bit steep but he did replace all 4 tyres. Is that the standard price nowadays?

Is the bill itemised . 4 tires could cost 200 Euro plus and then whatever they've done as full service . List out what they did

How long is a piece of string really?

Did he replace discs and brakes?

Itemised list needed really. You'd need to know what was done and what prices for each part plus then labour.

Was it a main dealer or independent. It matters. 4 tyres replaced could have been easily half the cost, depending on the size and brand of tyre.

Lack of info, so I'll assume hundred quid a tyre, and. 150 for the service. Sounds reasonable.

Wee bit of sarcasm above. :-)

What did they do / fix / change?

If by a service it was an oil and filter change, then he had better have put a set of Toyo Proxes or Michelin Pilot Sports under it.

100 euro a tyre for a Micra would be mad money even for a premium brand.

Of course it's all pie in the sky because the OP hasn't told us what they got charged 550 euro for other than tyres and stuff.

He was taking the piss to be fair tho :D

I'd imagine about €55 a tyre for a decent tyre would eat half the figure. No idea until the OP actually gives us details to work with. So gonna guess the other half was on service. Depending on work done, it could be reasonable.

Plenty of later K12 Micras again, assuming it is a K12 due to lack of info came with 17" wheels. I think the days of assuming you can get 4 decent tyres for a Micra for €200 are long gone.

I bet the OP went into one of those tyre fitting centers that offer servicing. And you leave being rode hard.
My mother was told she needed brake discs on her Micra when leaving the car into Adv**** Pi**top after she got some service deal on city deals. The funny thing was, I had just replaced her brake pads 3 days previously and her discs were close to mint condition. Bearing in mind the car only had 40,000 Kms on it at the time too, so brake discs at this mileage even is a total joke for them to even suggest. They were perfect.

All of these drive in places from what I hear are commission based. I have witnessed a few people getting reared as well when I had been in getting tracking done in some of these centers.

But we would need to see the receipt to see how much of a rip off this was.

Even 150 EUR for a service is on the high end. Especially for a Micra!!!!
