Dublin Registrar Office

I'm getting married June 2nd, next year and I've seen a few people who are getting married around then too making their appointments for the intent to marry, so naturally I thought I'd do the same just in fear I won't get an appointment in time.

Anyway, it seems you can only ring the Dublin office to make an appointment instead of applying online.
Has anyone else had problems with getting a hold of anyone? I rang twice today and after 12 mins on hold the first call, they hung up on me, and then second time I called (straight after) they hung up on me after 10 mins on hold.

I'm probably panicking for absolute nothing but is that normal?

    Thanks

    is that normal?
    Yes!

Had cause to ring them once and the same thing happened me. After about 5 or 6 attempts someone eventually picked up the phone. I asked to speak to the person I was looking for and they told me that he wasn't there so he'd put me through to his extension to leave a voice-mail. I then got an automated message "This person doesn't have voice mail set up". *Call ends*
