Don't drink tea, don't drink coffee, cover your chin in Yorkshire toffee.

No such thing as a good cup of tea. I can't stand the stuff. Coffee for me!

Tea making should be part of the education cycle.

Bad tea makers are worse than sweaty hand, limp wrist weak hand shakers.

    C.unts.

I make THE best cup of tea. It's all about warming the cup and not squeezing the life outta the tea bag.

They call that builder's tea I think.

Anyone that knows me knows to leave the tea bag in the cup and not to touch it with milk as I have to carefully control that splash of milk myself. Anyone that doesn't know me, I have no problem telling them to just to put the teabag in and I will take it from there. It has to be strong with only a drop of milk to colour it a bit :).

Milk in the cup before you pour the tea from the pot.

Put the tea in first then the milk, Ya scald the milk.

I've gotten into the habit of not using the spoon any more to stir the tea....dipping the teabag in and out by my fingers and found this the best method

Surely the tea from the pot is going to be ever so slightly hotter than tea in the cup so milk first would mean scalded milk

Maybe you love scaldy milky tea?

I'm also in the milk first camp. Tastes wrong when it's last.

Boil the kettle, fill the cup, leave for a few seconds, empty, boil the kettle again, make tea :)

    Sir,
I'd also like to recommend not ever cleaning your mug .
An occasional rinse under a cold tap at most .

....and what on earth is this 'tea bag' nonsense?

Loose tea, unstrained so you can have a bit of a chaw as well

A coffee drinker made me a cup of tea once...it didn't happen again. It was too soon in the relationship to throw it back in her face, so i drank it.

Wait until you've tried squatting over the cup, you'll never go back

.....and it has to be in my yellow mug with the cracked handle! It's been threatening to snap for the past 28 years. Size of a rats swimming pool and faithfully sitting beside me now as I type this

Could have written that myself. Proper tea!

The thing with tea is that nobody likes what someone else does. So drink the stuff that someone else makes as they are thinking the exact same about the the tea you made them.

Make sure the water is freshly boiled and spluttering when you pour it over the tea.
Never reboil water after its cooled down in a kettle,it will make lousy tea. The hotter the water the better.
If you want to make it in a pot, heat the pot on a low gas, dump in the tea then follow immediately with your boiling water. Put the lid on,turn the heat down as low as it will go for a minute or two, turn it off stir the tea then leave it to 'draw' for 4 minutes.

Never let tea boil or "stew" it will ruin the flavour.

I can't make tea for anyone for anyone without giving them a thorough interrogation - do you want sugar? And, if so, how much? Milk? How much? Tea bag in for how long? Or leave it entirely? D'ya need a spoon? D'ya want a biscuit?

Everyone has their own very unique preferences when it comes to tea. You've got to try to get it right.

    This.

If the water isn't boiling and fresh then don't bother.

My old pair bought a teapot last year. One of the fancy ones with a strainer built in. I headed down the sticks one weekend, and emerged for breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was sensational - pudding, sausages, and rashers from the local butcher. My mother makes her own brown bread - which I'd stopped complementing her on. It was the tea that I was raving about. Barry's loose leaf tea.

This was a mug of tea that I hadn't had in years. Proper tea, left to come to the top on a range. The drink of the Gods.

To surmise: take some time out, and make a proper pot of tea made with tea leaves. Enjoy. You deserve it.
