    Hi,

In relation to my new extension and the floor insulation requirements, can anyone tell me if 150mm is still the norm or has technology improved to allow a lesser size? I am doing the maths for the floor plans depth. Also, can anyone recommend the best manufacturer please.

    Thanks.

I think everyone is putting in 150mm at the moment We put on 2x75mm and ran the cold water pipes between the layers so the ufh won't be heating them

Ok thanks for that. I don't have UFH but I suppose the 150mm is the norm still only a couple of people I spoke to said they had obtained as good a U value with 100mm depending on manufacturer
