Closing Jobseekers Benefit and starting new job

Happily I am starting a new job this week, having been on Jobseeker's Benefit since Christmas. (The new job coincided with a letter from Dept. of Social Protection telling me that the benefit would be ending soon, but anyway)

I have submitted an online form to close my benefit from tomorrow.

From previous experience, I am used to giving a new employer, my P45 that I received from the previous employer. Am I expected to hand over any paperwork to my new employer to document my 2017 tax position. In 2017, my only income has been my Jobseekers' Benefit.

    Thanks
    Francis

You'll just need to contact the tax office when you start to give them your new employers details, and then they can send out your tax credit info to the new employer.
