Hi, I have unsightly broken red veins on my face as a consequence of roscea.
Has anybody got any experiences of having laser or other treatments which have worked in getting rid of them?
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, I had similar problem, and got laser treatment. Worked fabulously for about 6 months but problems have gradually crept back in- while the thread veins didn't reappear, I'm getting the flushing and overall redness again. Have booked for another laser session in next few weeks. Had three the first time round.

Pm me if you wat info on where I went.

I'm currently getting it done. I don't have Rosacea but I have an unsightly little collection of red veins on my right cheek. From a distance it looks like a gigantic spot. I've went for about 3 laser sessions so far and should have to do another 3 and then get the area injected.

I find the laser is reducing the Redness though. I don't know how permanent this will become though.

Thanks for your post. Do you know what type of laser is being used, it seems like a fair few sessions for a small enough area?

She's using a combination of KTP and IPL on me. Hope that helps.

I got this done but they came back after a year. I wouldn't bother with it unless you are a really bad sufferer. It works but it's sore and your whole face swells up after it for a day or two. I might get it done again if my veins get worse but I'm putting it off.

^ I didn't find it sore and my face certainly didn't swell for a day or two after it. They put a cooling gel on first and then apply the laser- it's like a short sharp 'zap' for want of a better word, but not painful and the sensation was gone in seconds. I suppose everyone had different pain thresholds but I wouldn't let that out you off trying it.

My face did swell up as I got it done near my eyes on my upper cheeks. It could have been a different treatment and not everyone will have the same response to it.

I've had this done as well, I had the IPL treatment. Hurts like hell and the first time I had some bruising but your skin looks fab after it and it sorted the thread veins.

I had 2 treatments first time round and now do it once a year to keep them at bay
