Quick one for you lads, left side dipped beam warning light on dash. Bulb was not working....I assumed bulb was blown and went out and bought twin pack (Osram Nightbreakers)

Stuck new bulb in and still not working so I tried other bulb and still nothing! Checked the fuses in the car and out and all seem okay (to my eye anyway) wiring to the bulb looks clean and intact.

Any ideas at all before I go down the VW dealer route as I really dont want to.

    Thanx

The bulb holders in those can give a bit of trouble. Same in some Golfs and Sciroccos. They are around €15 from a man dealer.

From what I can see on the car the bulb literally just clicks into place on each side of the thin metal sides. There is no spring clips or nothing, then the two prong connector hooks onto the bulb with the wires.

There are no wires nothing on the bulb holder???

Did you mean the wiring loom that attaches to the bulb as the "bulb holder"?

    Thanx for reply.

    ;)
