What is the most popular make - Leica, Topcon or other. I'm trying to learn some simple stuff for surveying/setting out - line, level, hor angle measurement, setting out right angle and other angles. I will have acces to an instrument and manual soon. I have long experience of the 'older' instruments sssssssso I'm well acquainted with the trigonometry etc.
Do I need to learn/understand digital theodolite first?
Do all instruments have, as I guess, a different 'panel' or is there a common approach in the informatics? Any 'old school' learn the newer instruments and how?
