I happened to tune in to 'Colm O'Regan Wants a Word (In Public!) ' comedy show which was on for half an hour (from 10PM) last night (Thursday) on RTE Radio 1 and was suprised at the poor audio quality of this show - it was suffering from 'watery' sounding digital lossy compression artifacts and sounded unnatural

After it was over, the following output on Radio 1 sounded fine so the issue was purely the recording of this show.

This was an independent production but surely RTE should demand decent lossless audio quality for broadcast from them?
