    Hi,

I'm looking at putting in some sort of CCTV system in the near future, just not certain of the best choice for my setup. My first thought was 2 or 3 wifi cameras inside covering the front and back doors and the corridor. Then I was considering 4 outside cameras on covering the front door, one the rest of the front and 2 at the back. I live in a bugalow, slightly T shaped, with the front door on the protruding part of the T so hard to cover front with just 1 camera. Any suggestions on my best choices for either option considering I'm looking at self-install budget €300-€400.

    Thanks for any help.

Avoid wireless for cctv if you plan on recording or constantly monitoring, especially if you plan on 4 cameras. It's fine if you just want to have the odd look.

Hikvision make some very decent cheap and cheerful cameras. You'll find plenty of them and 4x IP camera+NVR kits on eBay. After that you just need a monitor, a box of Cat5e, some clips and a crimp tool.

+ 1 for HIK Vision. Have a look at the sticky for some suppliers.
