    Hi folks

Coming from Limerick - What would be a suitable place to go to for a Friday & Saturday night anywhere really?

The ideal scenario would be drinks on the Friday night and then Golf for me and Spa for the missus on the Saturday.

Only places I wouldn't want would be Waterford/Kerry.

Don't know where to start looking really, even on booking.com I don't know where to start.

    Thank you!

EDIT: thinking about it - somewhere in Wexford would be nice or West Cork

Inchydoney Island Lodge&Spa in Clonakilty has a good reputation. It offers a seawater therapies. There is a golf club nearby too on Lisselan Estate.

Somewhere up North? Better value for money at the moment.

I stayed in an AirBnB on the edge of portrush golf course a few weeks ago.

I think the golf course in Faithlegg is garbage so won't bother with there.

She would love Waterford Castle I'd say but I'm not pushed on Waterford to be honest

What about Fota - You have an excellent golf course there and a full spa and leisure facilities.

I live in Wexford and you're spoiled for choice. Kellys, Monart, Seafield in Gorey. Wexford has come along in leaps and bounds since I moved here 8 years ago. There are always festivals etc going on. If you wait til October you'll have the opera festival and the Spiegeltent (great choice of things to do).
Can I ask why not Waterford? I am not from the south east and when I first moved here I wasn't keen on Waterford but the more time I spend there I absolutely love it. It has really come on as well. There's a lovely vibe there, particularly in the late Autumn/Winter. Just yesterday we went to Waterford Castle (wow) and walked around Little Island. Dunmore East is close by and it's so cute.
I may be biased but the Southeast has so much to offer :-)
