Strange blip on a mondeo

    Hiya all.
Have a 2010 Mondeo diesel 2l, lovely car, but a little something is bugging me.

When I change gear, the car revs for a split second. It's almost like a delayed reaction from the throttle to my removing my foot off the accelerator and pressing the clutch. Its like a badly timed gear change if you know what I mean.
By being extra careful, I can just about change gear without revving the engine, but its definitely not right. I currently drive 3 vehicles and its only happening on the mondeo.

Any ideas what it could be?

    thanks all.

Could be the clutch on the way out, what's the mileage on it?

Mileage is 130l. New clutch put in about 100k, Flywheel was fine so mechanic said not to change it. Its been doing it for ages. Just a quirk that bugs me.

    Faulty clutch switch most likely.

    Expensive / easy repair?

Very easy. New part should be about €20.
4M5T-7C534-AA is likely to be the part number, but best to access yours and check to be sure.
