Small 4x4 for roof tent and/or pulling small trailer

Hi folks, I think I'm on a bit of a mission impossible here so any input would be appreciated.

I'm looking to get a small 4x4 mainly for camping. Ideally I'd like a roof tent bolted on, but if it's a small 4x4 this may not be practical so I was thinking of getting a small car trailer and just bolting it to the trailer along with putting in some storage drawers etc.

Not concerned with it being comfy, apart from camping trips it will be used for very short spins.

It will have to be very reliable and put up with being trashed around a little.

Also small engine for tax and insurance. (ideally I'd like a defender but for tax and insurance, I'm in my mid twenties with only named driver experience, so I need something small)

I'm thinking about a Suzuki Jimny as it ticks a few boxes, don't fancy flipping it so a 100lbs tent on the roof sounds like a bad idea, but would it be able to pull a small trailer?

The engine size, apparent reliability and decent off road performance is attracting me, plus most seem to have been owned by ladies who wouldn't have it near a field so it won't have had too hard of a life.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

Have a budget of about 5k altogether at the most, would prefer to spend less. Can spend it all on the car if it will take a roof tent, otherwise the 5k would have to include a trailer.
