Have upgraded to iPhone 7 and give my 6 to my sister or so I thought! I called vodefone who told me that apple need a POP receipt to show where I purchased it from, I got it from the main Vodefone web page, Apple are then saying that it's. it valid enough for them to unlock. On the other side of the coin is that I can't remember my Apple ID or passcode for the my 6, I'm going in circles with the network provider and device owners, any help would be most helpful.

It's up to Vodafone to request an unlock from Apple and then you will receive a message about 10 days later that its done.

As for your appleid. You don't not get a separate one for each phone. You would have the same login details as your current phone.

However what you need to do is reset it as a new phone, and let your sister login with her own apple id or create one as a new user if she does not have one already.

The 6 will be useless to,your sister unless you remove the Apple ID used to activate it. It should be the same one. You can also buy a Vodafone unlock on eBay fairly cheaply.
