Carers allowance

    Hi Folks , I have applied for carer's allowance so i can become my sons full time carer. I understand that i am able to work a max of 15 hours a week on top of this payment. My question is can i go self employed or do i have to work part time for someone else. Thanks.

    "Not be engaged in employment, self-employment, training or education courses outside the home for more than 15 hours a week.

    During your absence, adequate care for the person requiring full-time care and attention must be arranged."
