insulation for HRV ducts

    Hello all,

I'm in the closing stages of installing HRV ducting in the house (retrofit). Most of the ducting in the attic will be insulated under the existing (extensive) rockwool insulation. However I'll need to somehow cover or wrap insulation around the ducts running to & from the HRV unit.

What is the best product to use? I've looked for some sort of sleeving but to no avail. I could just wrap it in more rockwool & tape it up but it seems like it'll be messy & plenty of opportunities for gaps.

    What do professional installers use?

    Thanks

    Leo
