Need some help on this one...

    Opel Zafira 2006 1.8 petrol 188,000km

so bit of a story... was catching up on some well needed TLC on this one...

did oil change, oil filter, air filter, new sparks, new rocker head gasket (old one was leaking in the corner)

not long after (around a week)car started running a bit rough EML came on.. hooked it up and read the codes, cant remember what they where but it was indication 02 sensor and a misfire in cylinder 2.. no problems, new O2 sensor fitted and new ignition coil fitted....
cleared the codes, while it was running a hell of a lot better (misfire sorted) it was a little bit rough... after a few days EML came back on...

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 1

    mmmmmm odd
re did the wiring on the 02 sensor (I did splice it in and was all soldered) but had to check.... Took the MAF out and cleaned it..

Cleared the code and restarted again EML light came on after a day or so

Same Error... and same issues runs just a slight bit rough

so any idea's people would be appreciated....

I be betting that you have a vacuum leak, 1st double check you put all back right. Look at live data on fuel trims, if they get better as you raise rpm = vacuum leak most times, use water or brake cleaner to find the the leak.

Is there a vacuum pipe beside the air filter housing that you may have knocked out of place?

What brand o2 sensor did you fit? If it's a universal one then I'd point the big fat finger of suspicion at it.
