    Hi,

I installed an alarm in my brothers house. I'm an Electrician by trade but haven't worked at it in 14 years and never did alarms.

The part set is working, however when I do a full set the 45 second to exit starts but when I open the door to leave the alarm is triggered.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong ????

In the ZONE TYPE, is the Front Door set as ENTRY/EXIT ?

I'm not sure a tally I will go back up tomorrow to have a look.

So am I correct in saying the front door zone should be set as entry/exit ?

Yes an entry/exit zone would be set up as entry/exit.

    Set up in zone types.
If you have a pir on the route make sure you set up access on this in the zone options menu.

Yes there's a pir in the hall.

Ive disabled the PIRs on part set.

So what do I do with the pir for full set?

On full set it will be on but the zone option needs to be set up for access.

Is there a shock on the door under a separate zone by any chance?
If so that would need to be set up as Access or Entry/Exit also.
What displays after the alarm activates will tell you exactly what the problem is.
