    Hey folks
My breaks starting squeaking last week when I slowed down for about 3 days ,I was away on work the other side of the country so never had a chance to get them fix but on my drive home and the last 3 days there has been zero noise ?
Any ideas what could have happened,

It could have been a stone trapped that was squealing when you applied the brakes or it could have been some sort of contamination on the pad/disc that may have since worn away.

I wouldn't worry about it if it doesn't come back.

Pad squeaker maybe signalling that you need new pads soon?
Have you had a look to see how much material is on both pads on both sides?

When was the last time the brake pads were changed?

Nearly two years ago, but surely if that was the problem they would continue to make noise ?

It could easily be something as simple as stone gravel from the road getting trapped or that the pads are reaching the end of their life.
