Hi Folks, I'm wondering where I can get the return springs for the handbrake assembly on the rear calipers of my 2003 Volvo V40, any ideas? The motor factors I've gone into are unable to help instead suggesting that they may be available as part of a caliper kit but, I've just rebuilt my rear calipers so don't need the…

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering where I can get the return springs for the handbrake assembly on the rear calipers of my 2003 Volvo V40, any ideas?

The motor factors I've gone into are unable to help instead suggesting that they may be available as part of a caliper kit but, I've just rebuilt my rear calipers so don't need the rebuilt kit.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Very rare that those springs would be part of a rebuild kit on any caliper or available aftermarket.
Have you a local Volvo dealership to try?

Main dealer only I'd say.
Got them a few times for Golf/Bora etc but always from the main dlr - they were only about €5 or so each .

Nearest Volvo dealers are Enniskillen or Galway, I'm in Sligo so I'd prefer to get it online if possible.
Brakeparts.co.uk list them (part number WHC0133) but I've a wait as they are currently out of stock.
