Easytrip Groupon Offer - M50?

    Hi

I'm new to Ireland and understand there are many toll roads thereabouts.

I saw this offer on Groupon which is basically a 50% reduction on the first (up to) €40 of tolls.

But, what seems to be missing is the M50, which is the one I will use the most. Here is the list of roads covered:
    M1 – Drogheda
    M3 Northern – Dunboyne – Trim
    M3 Southern – Dunboyne – Trim
    East Link Toll Bridge
    M4 – Enfield
    M7/M8 – Portlaoise
    N6 – Ballinasloe Galway
    Limerick Tunnel
N25 – Waterford, Cork Ring Road
    N8 – Fermoy

Am I right the M50 isn't covered and that is why they offer a 50% discount. Or has anyone availed themselves of this offer and its working fine for them?
I don't want to chuck money at this deal if it doesn't cover the road I need it to!

    Thanks :)

As I suspected, there is an expiration date which means they keep the unused credit. There's always a catch with Groupon.

eFlow is marginally cheaper than easytrip as they do not levy a 'handling fee' on credit and debit card topup payments. Otherwise they're both the same, you get a tag which works on all toll roads and bridges and there is monthly 'admin' fee of 1.23 incl. VAT whether you use it or not.

    Thanks coylemj.

I ended up checking a few points with Easytrip. Turns out the Tag does cover the M50, it was an error on the advert, so the was good.

Also, like you, I worried about the expiry date, but Easytrip confirmed it was just the voucher expiry, it just means I have to sign up before 1st October, the credit doesn't have a "use by" date, so that was good too!

I got one of these deals through Groupon the last time it ran (last year sometime), went over the date and called Easytrip, was told they would honour it even if Groupon won't, so if you ring Easytrip with the numbers they'd still take the voucher.
