TOOLS TOOLS TOOLS, Where do you buy them?!

Question is where do you get your hand and power tools from, bits ant pieces? I do woodworking, DIY around the house and so on. I've been buying tools from different places but it doesn't seem always to be easy to get a good value or service :rolleyes:

Prices in such places as Woodies, B&Q, Homebase are ridiculous, all tools may be bought online 20-30% cheaper and service in these places is a complete joke.

Amazon uk stock wide range of tools for good prices although missing some larger equipment, selection in some areas can disappoint too.

Screwfix and similar Irish online retailers stock ok selection, but prices are still no match to uk.

Conclusion would be to find reputable uk online retailer but then again maybe there's a place on this side of the sea that I'm not aware of.

I've used some of the above, and no complaints. Strangely enough I have found the ocassional "bargain" in Homebase of all places- Bahco wide opening adjustable spanner and NWS insulated pliers at lower prices than most online outlets, end of line items I suppose. Screwfix have been good too and their customer service is top notch. If you want to support a good bricks and mortar tool shop R Goughs in Dublin is one of those few shops that offer good quality tools and proper customer service and good value too.

Lidl and Aldi mostly, they're cheap, but they work and if something breaks that's when I know I need the more expensive one.
