Have you ever liked someone but not respected them?

You've probably heard the reverse and it's probably more common, respecting someone but not liking them. Obama, armed forces respecting Trump and his team even though they're ****ing bafoons, students respecting teachers who are very dislikeable (sure we've had an experience with that), workers respecting bosses etc..

But what about the reverse, Is it even possible? A girl told me that she likes me because of what I believe but doesn't respect me because of some things I say and do to others. Is this meant to be a compliment or not and is it better compared to respecting but not liking someone?

    Ya sure.

Plenty of people ive met over the years who are a good laugh but their life is a mess and you know some **** they have done. But because that **** doesnt affect you then you still like them but not respect them.

Plenty of people feel like that about their partners unfortunately.

Jesus - I like the man, telling people how great he was, and having many followers

But telling people he rose from the dead after 3 days kind of lost my respect.

You would have preferred he did it in 24hours? Lol

Messers in school or in the office.

The guy who sells me the paper in the morning. He's a nice enough guy, but I wouldn't want him in my house or going out with my sister.
