    Fancy a few tomorrow.

2 15 Landofhopeandglory looks over priced at 16s 1 pt win

2 50 Clonard Street looks really well handicapped and 10/1 is more than i was expecting was hoping to get 8s. Would normally be a max bet for me but one never knows with these colours 2pts win

    4 35 I like Princley Conn 20s and Court Minstrel 33s EW 1pt ew both with 365 5 places 1/4 odds

5 15 C and D winner Shamar looks well in and 16s looks value 2 pt win.

Anyone know why Smullen isn't on any on Welds tomorrow but rides Camlann for Shark Hanlon?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 620 ✭✭✭WickIow Brave

Smullen was declared on Shutter Speed at Goodwood who's now a NR. He'll be on DK's tomorrow.

Clonard Street is the bet of the week if he's off today. Caught the eye at the Curragh the last day they've pulled him for about two years now. Must be a machine for him to win first time out at this festival for John McConnell

Galway 2:50 - Dinkum Diamond at 28/1 to smash up Tony's horse and the rest of the field.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 310 ✭✭minibear

Not Galway but Harlequeen could go well in the 2.25 at Goodwood. everything looks good, hopefully she's well rested but ready after her year off. PP paying four places and she's a low draw with SDS up. can't lose!! :pac::D

Townshend drifts to nearly 6's on the exchanges and out to 7-2 from 5-4 since last night and ridden out the back by walsh and never put in to the race and the other mullins horse wins. the mind boggles how they get away with it. it front ran in all of its other starts. didn't back anything but serious questions there

Try doing a bit of study next time before spouting nonsense https://news.paddypower.com/horse-racing/2017/08/03/ruby-walsh-galway-hurdle-tips/?AFF_ID=16562

No need for the insults. The horse won on way worse ground than today and was ridden in a complete different manner than usual _ look at his previous results. He drifted alarmingly and it was not the ground . If you believe everything a jockey says for money then thats your perrogative.

In hindsight, this was a really bad bet. Don't think the horse suits this track at all.

Few quid ew on the harrington horse in the next I'm so Fancy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,474 ✭✭✭longshotvalue

Not my type of bet normally but doesn't Raymonda just hack up here. With music box doing the usual finishing fast too late. Any other year welds would be 4/5 and she has been running well enough

I dunno some of Weld's are so bad it's hard to have confidence.

Welds horse seems big in theory but with how sick the horses must be to be running so bad he probably should be even bigger again, couldn't back any of his horses at the minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,494 ✭✭✭PCeeeee

    Drumfad maybe in this.

There's a filly that enjoys her racing, some improvement. Loads left.

A thread for every single day of absolutely brutal racing at Galway and not a mention of the top class racing at goodwood.. strange forum.

Big drift on the WPM fav here, with the 2nd string gone from 8s to 4/1, could be long gone before that final bend

Elliotts horse Its all guesswork is meant to be really good. I'd expect him to be shorter though if he was that good.

    Look a bit closer

I've seen the handful of posts in the longshot thread. I just find the fascination people have with Galway hard to understand. There's only one thing the Galway races are good for and it isn't the racing.

I personally would usually have a good few posts for a good meeting like Goodwood but it's a mess this week in truth.

In fairness , you can all open a thread if you want......

How did Billesdon Brook get up there? Love to see what she touched in running!!

To be honest Goodwood has disappointed. We havnt seen anything really impresssive from the group races and the ground has made it difficult to have a go at anything.

Galway is what it is and will always appeal to a wider audience in Ireland.

How bad a call was that by Tony O'Hehir. Called the wrong JP horse Tigris River more than once.. Hadn't a clue what happened at the first and seemed to get completely flustered.. Time to retire?

Strange for an Irish forum to discuss Irish racing?? And what top class racing was there at Goodwood this week? A 7yo gelding winning the Sussex?

Take a xanax and have a sit down for yourself pal. I found it strange there was no thread dedicated to Goodwood not that yee were discussing Irish racing, But you knew that already.

You brought up Galway. And there was probably about 3 good horses that ran at Goodwood all week. Hope this helps.
