    So i have been given the task to buy a range finder. The trust bushnell got wet and died (if anyone knows anywhere to get it repaired please let me know).

    Anyway, looking for recommendations, doesnt have to be a bushnell - which for the record are gone crazy expensive since the last purchase. Budget friendly would be great.

    Anyone bought non branded say on ebay, do they do just the same job?

    Know anyone visiting the States who could pick one up? Bushnell V4 is $300 or aprox €255 over there compared to €350 here

    Unfortunately not. I thought id pick up a good deal with the sterling so good, but prices are not that much in difference either

    Bought a Chinese one on eBay about 2 yrs ago
    Works perfectly about €70

    Doesn't pick up the target as fast as bushnell maybe an extra 2 or 3 seconds but gives the same readings always

    I bought the cheapest one with shortest range (it says 600m but struggles over 250 which doesn't matter to me)

    My GPS was coming to its end I thought as the toggle button is banjaxed so I bought a cheap model to see if I would favour a laser over GPS in the future

    Both still going strong

    I've a mate who has one of these;

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Electronics-Photo/Nikon-16200-Coolshot-20/B00SMX7FUU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1501523235&sr=8-1&keywords=nikon+rangefinder

    Numbers seem to match my bushnell. The only issue he has is he seems to hit the wrong target a lot. I've used it a few times with no issue but he always seems to get the hill passed the green or tree etc but I just think that's his issue. Any time I've tried it it's fine. There isn't any pinseeker/jolt on it as far as a know so no nice little vibration to let you know you've got the right target but for the price I think it's a solid purchase. I'm sure you could pick it up cheaper than what it is on amazon.
