NCT emissions question

    what would you make of these results

    Low idle

    CO 5.15 should be less than .5

    HC 245 ppm Should be 0

    Lambada .83

    High Idle
    CO 5.43 Should no be above .3

    HC 110 ppm which is ok


    I have no idea what they mean but there way above what they should be

    anyone any ideas. is the engine fooked

    Bring it to a mechanic and get a quote.

    The engine is not burning fuel correctly, too much unburnt fuel exiting the exhaust.

    Plugs, airflow, coils, piston rings, lambda probes, valve seals or all of the above ;-P

    Did you give it a good run before testing? or was it a quick trip to the nct centre?
