Moving from a windows phone that keeps acting the mick and wondering whats a decent android phone that won't bankrupt me.

Doesn't have to be the latest model obviously but something with a screen over 5.5" would be preferable and a mid to high spec so it'll function at a decent pace.

Haven't had an Android phone in about 6 years so dunno what's what now :)

    Cheers

    What is your budget?

You can input details on www.kimovil.com/en with the specs you would like and it will give you the options.

    Somewhere between 250-300 I'd say.
I can sell my phone for about 150 ish as well.

Here a selection with upwards of 5.5" screen, 3gb ram between 150-300.

    https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare-smartphones/f_min_d+eurPrice.150,f_max_d+eurPrice.300,f_min_d+screenSize.5.6,f_min_dr+value.3072

Have a look at some of them and see how you get on. Depending on where you are and your network some of these may not have band 20 4g signal.

Ah, the good old 'coming from an iPhone, want a decent android for a third of the price' topic. :D

Check out this thread, the LG V20 seems very popular on there

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but looking to upgrade on my smart ultra 6.

Sony xperia xz is where I'm leaning, available for 150 on upgrade with eir.

Is it comparable on performance to the SU6, and am I overlooking any options in the sub 300 price bracket (will buy sim free if needed).

Not looking for much performance or camera wise, just use it for standard internet browsing, music playing stuff. No games or performance requirements specifically.

That LeEco Le Max 2 looks decent enough for that price.
Might take the plunge on it

I'm quite certain that brand is known for terribly reliability. Specs look amazing on paper, but there's more to it than that.

The vodafone smart smart v8 (Upgrade to the smart ultra 6). Looks like a good option. However the price in the UK is far cheaper than Ireland so if you could buy there it would be better.

Far cheaper? Works out about €15 cheaper iirc, with the port discount?

Looks like users are having trouble porting numbers to Vodafone, where they have a new sim from another network. Unless someone actually wants to be on Vodafone I'm not sure porting is a valid method at this point.
