Ticket Site Cartel

An very well known ticket site who will remain nameless due to obvious defamation concerns manages to sell out for gigs in under a minute and within one minute these tickets are for sale at vastly inflated prices on their sister site who is meant to be totally unrelated and is for third party sellers.

This is not physically possible without some underhand practices going on.

Obviously this is a breach of the Competition Act 2012 and other Cartel restraining behaviour but who is the person to investigate this?

The revised Competition and Comsumer Protection Authority or the Guards?

This particular site indemnifies all the tickets sold on its sister third party site.

Why would it do that for third party ticket providers it is not connected with?

Same could be said for other sites that sell things that have to be a done deal before the sale has be finalised. Same applied to them but as it's 3rd parties selling it there is no need for an investigation until the legislation is passed for it to be an offence to sell tickets above face value.

However if there was some under handed tactics, depending on the scale of it going on i would say it's a joint effort with all of them

Imagine how scandalous it might be if the world's largest liver entertainment company negotiating with bands and artists happened to own such a ticket site which in turn owned a secondaries ticket site. Imagine how further scandalous it be if such a. Company controlled many live music venues around the world.
