Supercapacitor 'helper' for battery

A few years ago supercaps were quite expensive but now I see them on ebay (link) for only a few quid each so it's feasible and perhaps even economic to make a pack of them to fit in parallel with your car battery (you'll need 6).

Since I have a few thrown around I might give it a go, just need to sort out a balancing circuit to stop each individual cap going over 2.7v and make an enclosure for it to sit nice and snug against the battery

I'll add pics here once I have it going..

Read this if you're interested in the alleged benefits but beware this article is written by so-called "industry experts"

    what are the benefits?

Battery lasts longer and possibly better starting in the cold. Though it rarely gets cold enough here for it to be a problem

is it that the quick discharging is taken up by the capacitors.. and so the batteries themselves don't see that level of abuse and will then last longer..

very good.. took me a while for that to click
