Due later this year the History Channel's new drama from executive producer Jeremy Renner.

I always though the Knights Templar would make some great films or series.

The closer they are to the grail, the further they are from God
The Knights Templar were the most powerful, wealthy and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages, entrusted with protecting Christianity’s most prized relic—the Holy Grail—and harboring secrets capable of great destruction.

Knightfall goes deep into the clandestine world of this legendary brotherhood of warrior monks. From their battles in the Holy Land, to their complex relationship with the King of France, to the betrayal that would ultimately lead to their tragic dissolution, the story of the Knights Templar has never been fully told until now.

    Looking forward to this

Spent a lot of time years ago reading around the Templars. Interesting bunch of lads. Loved Kindom of Heaven as well and this looks right up my street.

Tomorrow Friday 13th of October is the anniversary King Philip IV ordering the arrests of all Templar Knights.

It would have been a great day to launch the series I think.

I found the pilot episode weak it seemed badly edited with some dodgy CGI.

I'll stick with it and hope it finds it's feet as the Templars are such an interesting story to be told.

How did this pan out? Is it worth the watch? I've always been interested in the Templars and the Knights Hospitaller and sweaty men running around with large swords!!

It was a very average season of tv.

I'm very surprised it was renewed I wouldn't have renewed myself.

Now that Hamill is onboard I'll be back to season 2.

I will literally watch anything to do with the Knights Templar but I gave up on this after one episode. First 30 minutes were enjoyable but after that it just felt like a very average soap opera under a different skin and the summary of future episodes seemed full of "love interests" and "weddings". No thanks.

+1. IMHO he's bloody good actor and of the old stock too. Being blessed/lumbered with the Star Wars thing didn't help, but it also meant he could pick and choose and for me he's picked well. He has a great set of voices in his repertoire. Very nice bloke by all accounts too.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I met him once many years ago and fan boy’ed out completely and he was true gent about it. As I imagine this happens to him Multiple times a day that has to take the patience of a saint.

Fairly average alright; silly in places. However, just watched a particular episode in season 1 which ended with the best escape from the jaws of death that I've seen in a long time. Totally unexpected.

Edit: Just started the next episode, and the escapee is strolling through the town wearing a disguise that consists of a different cloak and a slightly longer fringe. Back to the silliness.

Watching this on Netflix, enjoyable I think.

The first two episodes of season 2 are worth watching for @HamillHimself alone hamming up to the last as a world weary Jedi Knights Templar

Hamill is a total standout and makes watching this fun.
