Its been on the blink for a while with a kind of crunching sound, not sure if its the motor or the glass has cracked.
I've had a feel with a coat hanger and doesnt seem like anything stuck or broken glass but who knows.
    Car is 04 audi a3.
What am I looking at cost-wise if its a) the motor b) some issue with the glass or something stuck.
I'm wondering if someone tried to break into it, as someone tried to steal my motorbike from my back garden recently.
Anyone in the Blessington/Naas area that come recommended to fix this type of issue?
    Thanks.

Time to peel away the fabric and see

Another test you can do is park infront of a wall this evening, swith off the engine and have the headlights on. Try pushing the window up down button and see does the light dim. If it does it means the motor is at least trying to do something and its possibly stuck

Doesn't the whole window and reg assembly unbolt as one unit on those?

Wouldnt know myself, not my area at all. But hopefully so as id assume that lowers the cost of repair.
