I am getting a message on my (newish) LG TV that says 'New Software available - Download Y or N?

I do not know where it is coming from, but it does not download and the message reappears another time. I phoned Saorview and they denied it was from them, but who else? Hardly LG.

Yes it has a Sat tuner, but it is not connected. It is connected to the internet, but that is not used either.

Model is LG 43LH510V - ZE. Software version is 03.33.03

I suspect that the message is coming from Saorview but they deny it. The TV is connected to Saorview when the message appears.

I have a Humax Foxsat HDR connected to the HDMI.

Get them every now and again on my LG. It's also connected to the internet and so LG push down update notifications.

Even if you don't use the internet on it, it is connected and LG can push the notifications for updates.

I'll phone LG tomorrow and see if they agree its them.

Why don't you try a manual check for software updates? That way you'll know if it's due an update or not.

Would be surprised if it's Saorview.

I cannot see how to do that - it is not obvious from the menus.

It is coming from the TV though as the look of it is LG.

I checked on web and got Software File(Version 03.05.37) as the latest but it would not let me download the guide or the file.

It's LG Firmware for your TV.

    http://www.lg.com/uk/support/support-product/lg-43LF510V

Under 'Software file' it lists this as the latest firmware version.

I downloaded the guide, but have not downloaded the actual file.

Interesting - you have to use the RED button to access the menus. Who would think of that?

    Thanks for the heads up.

I get a similar message on my LG. Pressing Red gives the message "Software update information from the other channels has been detected. Would you like to search for the channels?"
However selecting yes or no does nothing...

I tried the RED button and nothing happened. The whole interface appears impenetrable.
