Avoid looking like a proper tourist in a city you don't know!

Really heavy night on the beer? One too many sambucas and not quite 100% sure on your way home?

You like useless tech and have not a whole lot of money to spend on it?

    INTRODUCING.... SMART SHOES....

    Capture.jpg
HI TEC - Men’s Navigator Bluetooth® Guidance Shoe

Available in sizes: UK 6.5, UK 7.5, UK 8.5, UK 10

Works out at about €56 delivered.
Hi-Tec’s new smart shoes are a big step-forward in intuitive navigation. Find your way around any city or navigate the trails hands free without the need of a map or compass.

Simply download the free Letchal app onto your phone, set your destination and connect to your new smart shoes with Bluetooth and just start walking. Inside the shoes sits the Haptic vibratory feedback receptors which vibrate when approaching junctions signalling which way you need to turn. Vibration sequences will also tell you when you have taken a wrong turn.

The technological ingenuity continues in the construction of the shoe with a durable Michelin Outsole for grip, a lightweight XLR8 midsole for feedback and a waterproof Dri-Tec™ upper.

They look like decent walking shoes for the money, but the reviews of the Android app that makes them super duper are pretty well all crap (well the ones that look genuine)

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

The theory is great but the fashion stakes will kill it.
Could work with widgets in your pockets, wristbands etc

Great, so now the muggers don't need to find you, They just hack your shoes and make you walk down that dark lane to meet them.

I can see the compensation case now, "the shoes told me to turn right, they didn't tell me stop for the car that knocked me down" .

Or just your phone... 1 vibrate for left, 2 vibrates for right.

Ironically the web page linked can't be found :)

Not a great start for sat nav shoes.

On a more serious note it looks like they are all gone.
