    Hi i am wondering how i go about getting insurance for my engagement ring on its own... I have house insurance and do not want to put it on that...

    Practically impossible I would say. I used to have a ring insured separately through a broker but it is many years since they told me there was no longer any company doing that and it had to go on a house/contents policy. Ask a broker just in case it has been brought back again by anyone or ask on the wedding forum, might be a good spot to find out too.

    Just add it to content's insurance as a named item, specify all risks, its a normal element of most peoples house insurance.
