Can anyone recommend a family friendly hotel in or around Manchester. Going over on a short break with our seven yr old son. Planning on doing the Old Trafford tour, Lego experience etc so any recommendations for other things to do also welcomed. Have read the website's blurbs but would appreciate personal recommendations

    Thanks

We've stayed in Jury's, a couple of Premier Inns and they were all suitable for families. The Museum of Industry and Science is well worth a visit, it's a few years since we've been and you can spend hours there, it was free but if there's a special exhibition you can pay to see that. It's very interactive too.

The Old Trafford Tour is very good but have plenty of money for the shop ;)

Think it was a Travelodge around northern quarter we stayed in a few years ago and was nicer than expected
