Whirlpool washing machine problem

    Hey guys.
Have a Whirlpool washing machine here, approx 4-4.5 years old..
Fault came up yesterday F06 which I googled and seemed to be motor brushes, so got them today and fitted them, now I have F13 and sometimes F27 coming up.. machine not run and mainly showing F13, when I run diagnostic it will drain, let water into first drawer chamber and the alarm out show F13..

Had a good look around, checked inlet and drain, door etc etc and all seems ok... so problem started of as f06 and now has moved... thinking it's the computer and it's probably not worth the cost of repair at 4.5 yrs old.. any thoughts?

A quick google and the results say it could be a possible door lock fault, check that the door isn't distorted or out of position.

Checking the door it seems to be ok, closes tight, locks etc etc

When you had the motor out did the brushes need changing? normally one brush will have lost contact with the armature and have got damaged from arcing, before you fit the new ones ideally you should clean the comm of the armature as you may not get continuity on the circuit when the new ones are fitted , again a meter to check is the ideal situation. re the f13 error with the machine unplugged remove the top and get your hand down as far as the door interlock and make sure the harness is fully pushed home, f27 indicates an overfill so maybe when you had the machine tilted you got the pressure switch hose waterlogged, undo the hose and blow back down through it

Pretty much did all you have suggested, the brushes were wore to be fair, probably only 1/4 length of new ones.. I went through everything as best I could, feed and drain were all ok also. I would be of the mind it's the computer now at this point in time

Not tech savvy enough to follow the half of that lol but I do know I had a whirlpool washing machine previously and replaced brushes, rubber seal on door, drum and something else - remember thinking after the last repair all I had left of the original was the outer casing - but it continued to give trouble so cut my losses and changed it it was about 7 years old at that stage so I think I wrung my money's worth out of it
