Leaving jobpath for a course

I've been on jobpath nearly 3 months now and yes it's not the worst thing in the world but I'm interested in going back to study fulltime on a springboard course. I was told I can't quit jobpath and go on a course until my year is up. Is that true ? My advisor is currently on holiday so I cannot contact him to ask

If you want to take up a course where you will still be in receipt of a social welfare payment, officially you can't until you are finished on Jobpath. I think the advisors have some flexibility though, so you really need to talk to yours. When I was with Jobpath my advisor actively encouraged me to try and find a course so he could get rid of me. I have a lot of restrictions on the type of work I can do though, due to health issues. I think he thought I was a lost cause!
