Trade in value - Ford Ka

Hi, I am planning on changing car to something bigger(Size and Engine).

I currently have a 2010 Ford Ka 1.2 petrol, 76,000km. I know its hard to say what price one will get on a trade in, but when I talked to a dealer in the past he had a little booklet that had guide prices for trade-in cars.

So if there are any industry folk or others that would give me a ball park value for the car that would be great.

Aslo out of interest, do traders ever do straight swaps i.e. my car for their car of similar value?

    *Photo of car attached

    Thank You!

They retail at around €4500 for correctly priced ones.
I would imagine you'd be offered around €3250 against a fairly priced used car.

Straight swaps generally don't happen. For example if you had a blue k and you wanted a red one, you wouldn't just be able to swap. You'd expect to pay at least €1000 as dealer has to make a profit and has to warranty the new car.

Point is, you won't get a straight swap for a car of similar value. You might get a straight swap for something of lesser value.

You could always try selling the Ka, but they're a hard sell as they only appeal to a limited market and you're competing with garages selling them.

Thanks for that, exactly what I was looking for.
