Changing employer with current work permit

    I'm working in Ireland for a bit more than a year now with general work permit (not critical skills) that my employer got for me.

    I read that it's possible to change jobs after working at current job for a year, but the point I don't know is;

    If I find a new job, is it possible to change the current employer info on my current work permit or should my new employer apply for a new work permit which means I have to leave country till it gets resolved?

    Thanks!

    AS far as I know the permit is employer specific as it is granted to the employer. If you change jobs, your new employer will need to obtain a work permit for you.
