Just looking for some pointers on a problem. Have a squaling noise coming from my engine which I am told by a mechanic needs a new rocker cover and breather. Quoted me €300 plus labour which is not worhtwhile given the age of the car. Just hopng someone could point me to a cheaper fix or where I could get the necessary parts cheaper?

    Any assistance greatly appreciated

Its about an hours labour so your probably looking at €350 all in. If your not gonna spend that on the car then your kinda screwed.

Thanks for the reply. I sourced the parts on eBay so will only have the labour costs to pay.
