New learner permit application

This might seem daft but i was just looking at the D201 application form for a learner permit.

One of the things you have to provide is your current or most recent learning permit. it says it clearly in the checklist as one of the things you must supply.

What if you've never had a learner permit and this is your first one? there is no mention and no provision for that situation as far as i can see.

Am i looking at the wrong form or something? If not, what a monumental oversight!

    Any clues?

Form D201 is also used for those renewing their permit. You don't have a current or most recent permit - it just applies to anyone on their second or subsequent. Fill in the form and ignore that part. The first question on the form asks if you have a permit or licence; check no and you'll be fine.

Thanks for that, i expected as much although they really should make it clear. Ideally it should state not applicable if this is your first license.
