It is a kind of strange question because all the blogs that I searched in have the topics " how to turn from psychologist to psychiatrist " but the reason is that after I finished my medical study and had four months clinical round in psychiatry hospital in Germany , I found that the psychiatrist can't deal with the psychotherapy as a treatment line and all what he is doing is recognizing the symptoms and prescribing the medication and any psychological treatment made by the psychologist and I find psychology is much more interesting than psychiatry , so I don't know can I make master in psychology or I have to make bachelor degree ,

Are you in Ireland ? If so, the following would be your quickest route

Hdip conversion in psychology, usually 1-2 years

Possibly a masters in related field, however depending on experience you may be accepted to the Doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology if you can show research and work experience

You must get a 2.1 in your hdip to register with PSI the accreditation body for psychologists

You must do a doctorate in counselling or clinical psychology 3 years full time study.
